Missions Ministry Team
The Missions Ministry Team responds to God’s call to be of service in the world. We accomplish this by identifying opportunities to serve, motivating members to action, and providing opportunities to reach out to all in need.
Every year, we look for ways to serve God and neighbor and help adults connect to God, neighbor and community through service opportunities inside and outside of our worshiping community.

Our Savior's Missions Ministry Team also makes recommendations to the congregation about outside ministries and organizations that we can support financially. See some of the examples below.
Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota (LSSMN), one of Minnesota's largest non-profit social service organizations. LSSMN provides assistance to 1 in 65 Minnesotans each year, with an emphasis on meeting the needs of children and families, people with disabilities & older adults
New Ulm Area Food Shelf (links to a map and contact information) provides food to residents of Independent School District #88. Follow this link for hours of operation. Members of Our Savior's also volunteer regularly at the food shelf.
Heart to Home Furnishing, (no website yet) a recent addition to the New Ulm community service-scene that collects, warehouses and delivers new and gently-used household furnishings to our neighbors in need. Have a truck/trailer and/or strong back and want to help? Dick Embacher (507-359-9675) and Steve Gehrke (507-217-6951) would be happy to put you to work.
We also have relationships of caring and support with Washington Elementary School; Green Lake Lutheran Ministries/Bible Camp; various global ministries of the ELCA (Global Missions, World Hunger, GoodGifts) and others.
